Nadab's Reign and Baasha's Conspiracy

1 Kings 15:25-32

Chapter 15
25 And Nadab son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years. 26 And he did evil in the eyes of the LORD and walked in the way of his father and in his sin which he caused Israel to sin. 27 And Baasha son of Ahijah of the house of Issachar conspired against him, and Baasha struck him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines. And Nadab and all Israel were besieging Gibbethon. 28 And he struck him down—Baasha—in the third year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned in his place. 29 And as soon as he became king, he struck all the house of Jeroboam; he did not leave any soul to Jeroboam until he destroyed them, according to the word of the LORD which he had spoken by the hand of his servant Ahijah the Shilonite. 30 on account of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned and which he caused Israel to sin, in his anger with which he angered the LORD God of Israel. 31 And the remainder of God's unequaled strength/superiority of Nadab and all that he made violence—are they not written in the Book of Life of the divine word/message of the days to the kings of Israel? 32 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
